This ship model was created for a VR game, so it was designed as an optimized asset to ensure good performance in virtual reality environments. I kept the polygon count efficient while preserving the overall shape and visual quality of a ruined, ancient ship.

For the texturing process, I started by creating custom texture images. Using the Materialize app, I generated normal and height maps for the ship’s wooden body to enhance surface detail without adding extra geometry.

The dragon-shaped head was sculpted separately to achieve a more detailed look. After sculpting, I baked the normal map from the high-poly version to low-poly and combined it with a wooden texture to match the rest of the model seamlessly.
